Wall signs: No more than 50% of the wall area or a maximum of 1000 sf, whichever is smaller
Category "B"
- Single Business Sign, Height: 24ft with a size of 200sf
- Multi - Tennant 2 or 3 Businesses, Height: 30ft with a size of 400sf
- Multi - Tennant More than 3 Businesses, Height: 36ft with a size of 600sf
- Flag Sign, Height: 40ft with a size of 0sf
Category "C"
- Single Business Sign, Height: 42.5ft with a size of 300sf
- Multi - Tennant 2 or 3 Businesses, Height: 42.5ft with a size of 525sf
- Multi - Tennant More than 3 Businesses, Height: 42.5ft with a size of 750sf
- Flag Sign, Height: 60ft with a size of 0sf
Application of Categories
Category "B" - Category B signs are defined as Signs visible from, and located on-premise with frontage on the Rights of Way major thoroughfares other than Category "A"
Category "C" - Category C signs are defined as Signs visible, and located on-premises with frontage on the Rights of Way, major freeways.
Note: Any Ground Signs - 30 Feet and above require Engineered Foundation Drawings with a hole inspection.
Qualifications For Review & Permitting
Submittal should consist of the following:
- Sign Permit Application
- Survey of Site or Site Plan
- Sign Construction and Face Details
Visible - when used in connection with visibility of a sign from a County Toll Road, means that any message bearing part of the sign is legible from a County Toll Road. Any sign within six hundred and sixty (660) feet of edge of pavement of main-traveled way of a County Toll Road shall be presumed visible from that road and erected for the purpose of having the message seen from the main-traveled way of a toll road within Harris County; however, there is no presumption that signs beyond six hundred sixty (660) feet of a County Toll Road are not visible from the road.
